Vaginal Steaming is a holistic way to improving your health. Let us show you how herbal steaming can help you. Infinity Beauty, LLC is based in the Houston, Texas area. Infinity Beauty offers vaginal steam services in a private or group setting. Vaginal steaming works to nourish, tone, heal, bring freshly oxygenated blood, promote cleansing, and make supple the vaginal and uterine tissues. The treatment is natural and non-invasive.

• The V-Steam is a seated steam treatment using the combination of (approximately) 14 herbs.

• The V-steam in Korea is an ancient ritual also known as Chai-yok.

• Steaming treatments may be helpful for women with the following conditions: uterine fibroid, painful menstruation, uterine weakness, uterine prolapse, irregular menstrual cycles, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, reproductive adhesion/scar tissue and previous vaginal tear. Steaming is also great for relaxation.

The two main herbs are Wormwood and Mugwort. We will also use other herbs such as: Basil, Rosemary, Marshmallow, Red Rasberry Leaf, Lavendar and more.

• Wormwood is an antimicrobial “cooling herb”. The leaves and young shoots are antiviral and antibacterial, and they also are believed to relax the blood vessels.

• Mugwort has been used for hundreds of years to balance female hormones. According to herbalist and alternative medical journals, it contains antifungal agents and natural antibiotics. It is also believed to stimulate hormone and abdominal discomfort.

Vaginal Steaming Contraindications:

One of the biggest contraindications for yoni steaming is an intrauterine device, or IUD. Vaginal steaming is not recommended if a woman is using an IUD, because the steam softens, warms, and opens the cervix. If there is pain and trouble with flow of menstruation, the steam invites better flow, however in the case of an IUD, that should not move. If it does, it has the potential to get stuck in a suboptimal position, perhaps rendering it ineffective, or even allow for potential perforation of the uterine muscle or cervical damage. If you wish to steam while having an IUD you may want to try a "mini-steam" instead of a full v-steam. Be sure to consult with your health care provider prior to booking this service.

Vaginal steaming is not to be done during menstruation. Steaming while bleeding can be dangerous because the steam speeds up the blood flow and can cause heavy bleeding. Instead, steaming should be done before and after the period, which will help aid the natural uterine cleanse that occurs during the period. It may be more beneficial at different times of the month, but not during a bleeding time, including immediately postpartum.

• Although steaminig can be very helpful to aid in healthy conception and excellent after giving birth, steaming is contraindicated while pregnant. Steaming while pregnant can be dangerous because the steam relaxes and opens the cervix, which could result in miscarriage or early labor.

• For anyone that is trying to conceive, they can steam during the time period after the period up until the point of ovulation and then they should stop. Steaming after insemination could interfere with the sperm, fertilization or implantation. Steam up until the point of the IVF or IUI transfer and then stop until the pregnancy is confirmed. Yoni steam before ovulation or insemination, once, if you’re trying to get pregnant, but not if you suspect you are pregnant.

For anyone that experiences spontaneous heavy bleeding (sometimes referred to as two periods per month) steaming is contraindicated. Because the steam speeds up circulation and opens the cervix, it might cause spontaneous bleeding to occur, which can be dangerous when it’s heavy. Women with spontaneous bleeding who want to steam should go to an acupuncturist first and get herbs to get the spontaneous bleeding under control first.

• Though steaming is very helpful for miscarriage recovery, it is not advised to steam before the miscarriage process is fully complete. In rare cases this might lead to heavy bleeding and can be dangerous. Start steaming after the pregnancy matter has cleared out and the bleeding has turned to brown. Yoni steam as a ritual cleansing, perhaps a few cycles post trauma or miscarriage.

It is not advisable to Yoni steam when you have any open wounds, infections or irritations to the vagina or the skin surrounding the perineal area or if you have any contagious conditions/diseases such as: HIV, or any other bloodborne pathogens or any other pre-existing health conditions that may be affected by steaming. *Yoni steaming is a holistic and powerful way to rejuvenate the body, but it is not a miracle cure. It can aggravate some conditions and especially if there is a long-standing imbalance. It’s important to know when to yoni steam and when not to yoni steam. Working with a qualified Yoni facilitator will ensure it is done safely and effectively.

Teeth Whitening

The active ingredient use for teeth whitening is Hydrogen Peroxide and Carbamide Peroxide.
The active ingredients described break down very rapidly to form water and oxygen ions. The whitening
process essentially involves the oxygen breaking down the double carbon bonds that are the source of
most coloring or staining in teeth. We use LED lighting in combination with Hydrogen Peroxide to whiten the teeth.

RISKS FOR TREATMENT
You understand that almost all natural teeth can benefit from whitening treatments and significant
whitening can be achieved in most cases using the standard Boutique Whitening Kit and custom trays.
You further understand, however, that Boutique Whitening treatment results may vary or regress due to a
variety of circumstances.
You understand that take-home whitening treatments are considered safe by most dental professionals,
and as the profession as a whole. Research indicates that using peroxides to whiten teeth is safe. You
understand that although your dental professional has been trained in the proper use of Boutique
Whitening, the treatment carries some minimal risks due to prolonged use of peroxide solutions. You
understand that some of the potential complications of this treatment include, but are not limited to:

TOOTH SENSITIVITY/PAIN
During the whitening treatment, some patients can experience some tooth sensitivity or pain. This is
normal and is usually mild, but it can be worse in susceptible individuals. Symptoms should subside
within 1-3 days. People with existing sensitivity, gum recession, exposed dentin, exposed root surfaces,
recently cracked teeth, abstractions (micro-cracks), open cavities, leaking fillings, or other dental
conditions that cause sensitivity, or allow penetration of the gel into the tooth, may find that those
conditions increase or prolong tooth sensitivity after treatment.
Brushing with Boutique Biomin toothpaste for 2 weeks before, and throughout your whitening treatment
is clinically proven to alleviate sensitivity. You can also use an SLS-free toothpaste such as Sensodyne in
the whitening trays for 30 minute periods before or after whitening to help reduce sensitivity.
EXISTING RESTORATIONS
You understand that Boutique Whitening treatments are not capable of lightening artificial teeth, caps,
crowns, veneers or porcelain, composite or other restorative materials.
Teeth with multiple colorations, bands, splotches or spots due to tetracycline use, orthodontics,
fluorosis, or brown spots do not whiten very well and may need multiple treatments. In some cases these
may not whiten at all. You further understand that teeth with fillings may not lighten and are usually best
treated with other alternatives, possibly restorative options that your dentist can discuss with you. You
understand that provisional or temporary restorations made from acrylic based materials may become
discoloured after Boutique Whitening treatment and need replacing.
If you have white fillings on your front teeth, these will begin to look more yellow or grey as your natural,
teeth get whiter. These will need to be replaced, however, you will need to wait for at least 2 weeks after
you finish your last course of whitening to do this.
GUM/LIP/CHEEK INFLAMMATION
Whitening may cause inflammation of your gums, lips or cheek margins. This is due to inadvertent
exposure of a small area of those tissues to the whitening gel for a prolonged period of time. The
inflammation is usually temporary which will subside in a few days but may persist longer and may result
in significant pain or discomfort, depending on the degree to which the soft tissues were exposed to the
gel. This is extremely unlikely given the low peroxide content of the gels we use.
CAVITIES OR LEAKING FILLINGS
Most dental whitening is indicated for the outside of the teeth, except for patients who have already
undergone a root canal procedure. If any open cavities or fillings that are leaking are present, allowing the gel
to penetrate the tooth could result in significant pain. If any teeth have these conditions then the fillings
must be re-done before undergoing the whitening treatment.
CERVICAL (ROOT) ABRASION/EROSION
These are conditions that affect the roots of the teeth when the gums recede and they are
characterized by grooves, notches, and depressions that appear darker than the rest of the teeth, where
the teeth meet the gums. Even if these areas are not currently sensitive, they can be sensitive when
the whitening gel is applied.
ROOT RESORPTION
This is a condition where the root of the tooth starts to ‘dissolve’ either from the inside or outside.
Although the cause of this is still uncertain, there is evidence that indicates the incidence of root
resorption is higher in patients who have undergone root canals followed by internal whitening
procedures. This is a rare occurrence.
